Accessibility Statement
Benson Home Care is committed to making our website usable and welcoming for everyone, including people with disabilities. Accessibility is part of how we care for the people and families we serve.
Our goal
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These international guidelines help make web content easier to use for people with a wide range of abilities.
What we’ve done
- Written descriptions (alt text) for images, so screen readers can convey them
- Color combinations chosen to meet AA contrast for readability
- Full keyboard navigation with a clearly visible focus outline
- A “skip to content” link and clear page structure with headings and landmarks
- Large, readable text and generous tap targets, with click-to-call and email links
- A written description and numbered list accompanying the county map
- Reduced on-screen motion for visitors who prefer it in their device settings
- A layout that adapts to phones, tablets, and computers
